Killing Candida-The Mighty Battle!

Ohh what a struggle it is. Any of you that have or have had Candida or yeast overgrowth know all to well what a battle it can be to conquer this mighty beast.

For those of you that don’t know yeast overgrowth also known as Candida Albican is bacteria in the intestinal tract. We all have bacteria in the gut, some good and some bad. When the bad takes over Candida gets out of control. Not only does Candida invade the gut, it also grows so rapidly, it quickly invades into other organs and tissue causing outrageous symptoms that sometimes get misdiagnosed and go on to become chronic issues. As a colon hydrotherapist, when doing a Colonic , I am able to recognize Candida when it makes it grand “exit”. There are of course many other symptoms that come with Candida, here are just a few basic things to look for:

Gastrointestinal Signs:

Constipation, Diarrhea, indigestion, heartburn, gas and bloating are two of the most significant indicators to look for!

Genitourinary Symptoms:

Recurrent yeast infections aka. Vaginitis, Vaginal burning and itching & Jock itch in men. If after a treatment of antibiotics and you suffer from a severe vaginal yeast infection or jock itch, chances are you have Candida or Yeast overgrowth. It has gone form the gut into the genitalia because the antibiotic has not only killed your infection, it has also killed all of your “good” bacteria.

Allergic Symptoms

Earaches, recurrent Bronchitis, hives, sore throat, coughing, acne (especially around nose and mouth),nasal congestion and sever sensitivity to smell.

Glandular and Organ Symptoms

Infertility, menstrual problems, ovarian failure, hypothyroidism, chronic lymphosystic thyroiditis, diabetes mellitus, and Endometriosis- this is a huge indicating factor that is often overlooked or misdiagnosed in western medicine, just know that killing the Candida is one of the simplest things you can do to get rid of Endometriosis!

Emotional and Mental Symptoms

Poor memory, fatigue, drowsiness, feelings of unreality, in coordination, tingling and numbness, joint pain, muscle weakness, muscle pain, irritability, inability to concentrate, confusion and severe depression.

Diagnosis of Candida

Because Candida is present on almost all living things, especially in human cells, it is near impossible to test for Candida. Seeing it with your own eyes during a colonic and/ or being muscle tested for it are two of the best indicating factors, this also helps us to to determine the severity of the Candida.

Treatment of Candida

Treating the problem is where things get a little scary. This organism multiples quickly and it needs to be killed completely or it will come back even stronger. Many people will complain that they have just changed diets and cannot understand why the feel so bad, or they they stopped carbs and have pounding migraines, back pain or shakiness. What most people don’t understand is that Candida is truly a living organism and when you stop feeding it (refined sugar, starches and carbs), it will cause you to have all of these sever side-effects in order to get you to eat what it needs to thrive. If you have candida you need to kill this organism slowly and surely. Meaning by changing eating habits slowly and ridding your body of candida slowly to avoid withdrawals symptoms. Adding a good probiotic to your regimen is absolute!

Colon Hydrotherapy is an excellent way to not only identify Candida but to also help in treating Candida.  It may take a couple of sessions, but we can surely knock out this mighty beast!
