Colon Hydrotherapy is a gentle method of cleansing and exercising the colon with purified, temperature controlled water to restore proper function and well-being to a overworked and often toxic bodies.

The therapy of the colon (large intestine) dates back to ancient times and enemas were recorded as early as 1500 B.C. in an Egyptian medical document called the “Eber Papyrus.”

Enemas have been used to help maintain health and stave off disease for along time but the modern usage of colon hydrotherapy was popularized by J. H. Kellogg, MD, of Battle Creek, Michigan who is mostly known for his invention of corn flakes and various techniques of good hygiene.

Dr. Kellogg published an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association praising the procedure’s efficacy for saving dysfunctional large bowels in 1917.

Dedicated to your health and wellness, the Calimesa Holistic Wellness Center offers the LIBBE (Lower Intestine Bottom Bowel Evacuation System) colon hydrotherapy system and the LIBBE colon hydrotherapy system is registered and approved by the FDA.

The system is a comfortable form-fitted table where the client rests with a basin set into it and the equipment is connected to the sewer system at the basin bottom.

Once on the table, the client positions his or her hips at the edge of the basin so intestinal waste will fall into it.

The LIBBE also has an odor exhaust system insures that the area remains odor free. Water flows from the tank gravity system which is set in the cabinet on the wall adjacent to the table.

The colon hydrotherapist adjusts the temperature controlled water which flows through a carbon filter to removes any impurities (sediment, rust, chlorine) before reaching the gravity fed water tank and a flow control handle.

The water is further purified by an ultra-violet light filter before passing through the rectal tube, which is the size of a pencil.
