The following overview is taken from the manuscript, “Pounds and Inches”

This Protocol Follows Both Injectable and Oral HCG

Phase One & Two
Diet Overview
| Breakfast: | Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or Stevia may be used. |
| Lunch: | 1. 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken breast must be removed from the bird.2. One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
3. One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast. 4. An apple, orange, or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit. |

Drinks and Seasonings
The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes.
Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.
Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water (2 liters of water per day is recommended) are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times.
The fruit or the breadstick may be eaten between meals instead of with lunch or dinner, but not more than than four items listed for lunch and dinner may be eaten at one meal.
FOOD HINTS:
Lemon and Pepper is a great seasoning for your chicken and fish. You may also use a low sodium All Season. Balsamic Vinegar with Chicken or Fish is an easy prep as well.
We have found that for lunch that mixing your chicken with one vegetable such as a tomato and Dinner with Romaine or leafy lettuce is a great combo and helps to keep your diet under 500 calories
Limit your Melba Crackers or Breadsticks to 2 a day. You would be very surprised at a difference this makes in weight loss
WATER WATER WATER- Keep a Gallon Container filled with filtered water and squeeze a half of a lemon inside. Lemon not only helps the body to expel excessive water weight, it helps to maintain the alkaline levels in the body! *A Gallon of Water a day is your Goal!
Important Highlights:
Log your intake and weight every day this will not only help you to keep track of how your doing this will help us to see if there are any modifications that can be made to excel your protocol.
The 500 calorie limit must always be maintained.
2 small apples are not an acceptable exchange for “1 apple.”
Very occasionally we allow egg – boiled, poached or raw – to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole.
Cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat
We have found that taking your HCG in the evening is most beneficial. Injecting or taking Oral right before bed will create the most weight loss
Weigh yourself in the AM after you urinate. This is the most accurate weight.
Don’t get frustrated by weighing yourself throughout the day. It is not a true weight due to clothing and water weight.
Make sure that in the case that you are following the protocol properly and are stuck at a certain weight for more than 2 days that you contact the office. Your HCG might need to be increased or decreased.
In the case you are still feeling hungry, contact the office. We offer 3 different types of appetite controls. However, most patients don’t need these.
***Female Patients*** During your Time of Month, it is normal to gain no more than 2 lbs or at best to simply maintain weight prior to start of time of month-Don’t panic you will be on track Aprox 3 days after the 1st day of the beginning of your period. You may read that some people stop HCG during these days. This is not necessary. You may continue HCG for optimal results..
At the end of Round 1 You will take a short break of 3 days (Your weight should maintain).
Beginning Round 2 you will do the reload process at this point and go through a 42 round of HCG at this point.
